The Intrigue Series of cables are faithful to the sound of actual instruments and vocals. Intrigue cables create the illusion of the live musical event, with a lush and warm sonic signature together with clarity and detail. Depending on your system, you will hear sonic images without glare and multiple images within and around the soundstage.
Intrigue employs solid-core copper conductors of six-nines (99.9999%) purity, insulated in polyester-mica, an insulation material that does not store and release electrical energy as do polymer insulation materials. Under blind listening tests Poly-Mica reveals no sonic difference when compared to the same non-insulated six-nines pure copper conductor. For 45 years, we have compared and listened to different conductors, different wire gauges, different conductor materials and the same conductors with different insulation or dielectric materials. In many cases, we have been able to use electrical measurements and testing systems to correlate with the listening experience.
